It is a rare thing for us to point your attention toward an old car that has not been modified but in the case of this 1933 Olds Sport Coupe we know that you’d appreciate the total package that is before you. Is it funny to think about color in the 1930s, right? We only see it through black and white films and old photos. When you understand that there was an amazing palette of colors being used by all manufacturers it changes your entire perception of the age. This Olds has one of the most beautiful two tone blue paint jobs on it that we have seen in forever. The main portion of the body being light blue and the fenders being a darker shade just give the car a great presence and feel.
This car has the look of a chop but it is factory restored. The lower roof line must have been a hallmark of the sport model. According to the seller, only about 600 of these things were made in 1933 and there are likely but only a handful left in the world. We love the buttresses at the base of the radiator up front , the opening side ports in the hood to vent heat out of the engine bay, and the big headlights straddling the grill.
The engine is a flathead six cylinder and since we know nothing about Oldsmobiles of this era, we’re a little confused. We have found olds six banger engines from 1937 on but we’ve not been able to locate much information on the engine in this car. Either way, it is totally immaculate and looks like it has been stored in a museum.
Cars like this normally don’t speak to us but this one is screaming. Between the color, the shape, the design, and those gorgeous fenders, we thought you may dig it as well.

A factory-built hot rod no less!
For heaven’s sake somebody buy it before some unprincipled asshole sticks an LS into it…
