(Photos: Mårten Carlsson) The ACCS Power Vårmarknad Meet at Lidköping Arena in Sweden isn’t so much of a car show as it is a chance to see cars that are all but extinct in the United States. Sure, you can see just about any of these beauties here, but you will see them roll off of a trailer, creep over to their parking spot, and sit for the duration of the show. When was the last time you ever saw a DeSoto Adventurer cruising down the road in less-than-perfect weather? In Mårten’s neck of the woods, it’s a common occurrence…they love these big Yank tanks, and take excellent care of them, but if you think even for a minute that these just sit in the garage and do nothing but collect dust, you’d be very, very wrong. We’ve shown plenty of footage to the contrary. They drive these sleds simply because they enjoy them.
Looking at Australia and here, I see where all the Mopars went. In Adelaide last Christmas saw 9 E bodies-Cuda’s and Challengers in Adelaide. Have not see that many Cuda’s and Challengers in 4 years in Atlanta.Thank God I have my Cuda almost ready to drive after complete rebuild as I cannot afford to buy these things now.
