Now this is the type of thing that we could sit and watch for days on end. You are going to take a little trip back in time to 199 where Derek Bell was piloting a vintage Ferrari 250 GTO and was engaged in a heck of a battle with a guy in a properly bad ass Jaguar E-type. These are two cars that are worth 10s of millions of bucks combined and they get driven like they are stolen by people who have legit talent. There are some other highlights to this one was well, particularly a weird moment with a Shelby Cobra that you’ll kind of be like WTF?! when you see it.
The Goodwood Revival has been on our list of “stuff to do” for years and year now. Part of us thinks that the Revival may actually be cooler than the Festival of Speed for the simple fact that it centers around all the old stuff and while the current technology and greatness that is displayed each year at the FoS is great, the Revival seems a touch more our speed. Hell, we’d even bust out a tweed jacket and a hunting cap to properly play the assigned role of spectator.
The people who own these cars and put them on the race track are cool. It is one thing to see a 250GTO collecting dust and resting in a collection but to actually see it making the laps, to hear the V-12 screaming, and to see it doing what Enzo and his ilk designed it to do is special stuff. This video is timeless, just like the cars featured in it.
