We have to thank the ever vigilant Matt Cramer of AMP EFI for pointing us onto this awesome video from Russia that shows one of the weirder hot rods we have seen in a long, long time. Basically what we have here is a group of dudes who have mated some sort of aircraft turbine generator or something of that sort to the stock transmission in an old BMW 3 series sedan. The end result is a fire belching, tire smoking, riot of a thing that is just as whacked out as anything anyone would do in this country.
While there are huge geo-political things going on with the USA and Russia at this point, the regular people that fill that country and ours clearly are not that much different. How many videos have we run with kids bodging together weird stuff here to burn tires, make each other laugh and do stupid stuff. Guess what, everyone. The gearhead kids over there are doing the same junk. Big props for how they mounted this thing as well. The mid plate they machined is beautiful.
There’s a level of recklessness with this thing that cracks us up. We do not know at what RPM this engine operates but we’re guessing whatever it is probably makes the clutch in the transmission a time bomb ready to come apart and saw the car in half. That being said, they took a crappy car, some old airplane parts, and made a fun machine out of it. That’s something no one can argue the value of.

The walls in the shed must be covered with asbestos. Nice looking area for a shop really state of art. LOL
