Reggie Wayne is notable in the NFL for making a statement about the season by what ride he drives in on the first day of the Indianapolis Colts training camp. A few years ago, the wide receiver arrived driving a dump truck and got out with a hard hat on. He showed up via helicopter last year. This year, he got Ed Carpenter to give him a lift in his tandem-seat Dallara-Chevrolet Indycar.
Wayne, 35, is returning to camp after an ACL tear during a game against the Denver Broncos on October 20, 2013. Since the tear he has been in rehabilitation, working hard to get back into playing shape. He’s caught over 1,000 receptions and typically averages over 1,000 running yards per season.
