Video: The Hagerty Honda Trail 70 Restoration Is Really Coming Together Now!

We have really been digging the series of videos surrounding the restoration of a classic Honda Trail 70 bike by Davin and the guys at the Hagerty shop. It has been fun to see various parts and pieces brought back to factory spec and now it is even cooler that the thing is starting to look like a tiny motorcycle again! In this installment we see the front fork/shock/triple tree assembly go together and it’s done with good detail and even the creation of a homemade tool to get one of the application specific nuts properly installed and torqued down.

This project is cool because it definitely represents something that anyone with even a small amount of space can work on and complete. The motorcycle itself is a really basic machine but the process of getting it all “right” is pretty in-depth. This will be a truly awesome example of a Trail 70 when it is done and for what these things sell for in even non-running condition, the investment in the restoration will certainly pay back if and when these guys ever want to sell the little bugger.

It’s a Redline Rebuild project so once these longer form videos are done we’ll have one of the fantastic time-lapse style videos of the machine “rebuilding itself” to enjoy. Dig this update, it’s really coming along!
