LEGO Porsche Crash Test Video – This 1/8 Scale Porsche Gets Run Into A Wall At 30mph – Slow Mo Perfection!

LEGO Porsche Crash Test Video – This 1/8 Scale Porsche Gets Run Into A Wall At 30mph – Slow Mo Perfection!

Fun, people. This is fun. The German version of our American AAA decided to gave a good time and make one of the most interesting crash test videos we have ever seen. They got some kids to assemble a big LEGO Technic Porsche kit, one of the 1/8 scale jobs and then they ran the car into a wall at about 30mph on a miniature crash testing course, the type that full size cars are run on. The end result is a LEGO Porsche crash test video that was shot with some great slow motion camera and it is very fun to watch.

We’re surprised at how well the car actually held up after running into a wall at 30mph. We crashed a bunch of LEGO cars for fun when we were kids in the living room but this is another level. The shower of LEGOs is pretty incredible when it hits the wall but overall the thing maintained its integrity a lot better than we expected. Hey, we would not have wanted to be a miniature person riding in it, but as a full sized humanoid checking out the aftermath of the mess, there’s more “Porsche” there than we expected.

Ok, now who wants to build a 1:1 scale model of a pickup and run it into a brick wall at 65mph to really show off. No, drivers and passengers need not apply.

Why would you crash a $300. ($299 at Walmart) toy just to see it splatter? Guess I’m from a different age.

If only there was a way to put it back together afterwards……

Compared to what they usually crash in that facility, $300 is a piss in the Mississippi.

why do they crash real ones? to observe what happens….real cars cost a bit more too…

Make sure you get all them pieces picked up, I don’t want to step on one at 3am barefooted in the dark!
