The MAHLE Drive With The Original Mustang is a 1,000hp, twin turbocharged Coyote monster that’s being built at Petty’s Garage with oversight from the man himself, Richard Petty. It features quality MAHLE Parts throughout starting with the air filters, moving onto the engine gaskets including some really gnarly head gaskets that you will see in the video and of course the pistons which have been spec’d out for this boosted application.
The engine uses Clevite bearings which as we all know are the industry’s best in the high performance realm. With boost and loads of additional cylinder pressure the bearings need to be up to the task of dealing with a crank that is going to be putting them to the test.
