Money No Object: A No-Joke Trans-Am Raced 1964 Ford Falcon

Money No Object: A No-Joke Trans-Am Raced 1964 Ford Falcon

Trans-Am in the late 1960s and early 1970s…glorious. Boss 302 Mustangs against AAR ‘Cudas, Z/28 Camaros and Mercury Cougars against AMC Javelins and Dodge Challenger T/As tearing around road courses across the country. The sound of angry V8s wherever they were at. A real-deal Trans-Am race car is a pinnacle point for an enthusiast or a collector. What would you give to own one, your own pet monster, with a grumbling V8 soundtrack and the history to back up it’s looks? And we aren’t talking a fully-restored, perfectly polished deal that makes auction buyers sweat buckets and get a gleam in their eyes that hasn’t been there since the days of the drive-in, either. We mean something that you wouldn’t mind taking to a track day every once in a while and just letting it eat…damn the cones, here’s how it’s done, kids!

1964 FORD FALCON, SCCA Trans-Am & A-Sedan and FIA-GT History. Driven by SHELBY Team Driver Bob Johnson. Driven by Don Sesslar and Jim Harrell. In as-raced 1968 condition cosmetically. Mechanically restored. 305 SBF, T-10 S-Trans, 9″ Ford with Detroit Locker and 3.50 gear. Original 999 prototype and FIA Homologation Car. Fiberglass Hood, Front Fenders, Doors (with Factory roll-up window mechanisms. Ford Prototypes were always Gold exterior and Red interior models as is this car. 2,160 lbs. FIA and SVRA Medallion Eligible. Seamless ownership.

Slightly rough, slightly tattered, but still just as capable of screaming down the front straight at a moment’s notice. Time to go check on mortgaging out the house!
