Viva Las Vegas 2017 Coverage: More Cars, More Chrome, More Patina, More Neat Junk

Viva Las Vegas 2017 Coverage: More Cars, More Chrome, More Patina, More Neat Junk

(Photos by Wes Allison) – There’s an interesting thing about a show like Viva Las Vegas and that’s the fact that if you walk around long enough you’ll see all the stuff you personally hate and then all the stuff you personally love, sometimes parked next to each other. Neat junk abounds. Over the years we have learned that there are a faction of BangShifters who think everything should be nicely painted. We’re not calling them out, it is their right to have that opinion and stick to it. Just like the guys who hate the look of cars laid out on their frame rails when parked. There are guys who love cars a little ragged looking and scraping the rocker panels. It is what keeps this stuff interesting, right?

Anyway, we mention this because in this freshest collection of photos you are going to see cars that fit every description given above and some that do not fit in at all. When’s the last time you saw a mid-1950s Belvedere station wagon? We’re not sure we have EVER seen one. That’s why the slightly rusty machine with the red wheels went right to the top of the page!
