You know what drifting is all about…the skills of a driver that is sticking a toe or two over the line of car control while laughing about it all. Slip angles, power application, steering angles…all of it becomes important when you want to drift properly, but that’s if you are deadly serious about your craft. Often times we forget how most forms of racing came about in the first place: because hard-charging drivers were having a blast learning new and creative ways to have fun with the car! Is there competition? Of course there is, but that doesn’t mean that the fun aspect of competition has to be ignored. Case in point: the footage is from the first round of Lone Star Drift’s 2016 season, and everything is in place: the cars are ready, the drivers are set, and the camera operators were standing by to capture all of the sideways action. There’s a mix of cars here, from the typical Nissans to a Toyota sedan that is pure Japanese market, set to some killer camera work. Start your day the right way, with the haze of burnt rubber in the air!
