(By Tom Lohnes) – Famed Mclaren F1 designer Gordon Murray has decided to make his own supercar. This one however, might be the most mental one we’ve seen.
The new Murray T.50 is insane. Powered by a Cosworth-Tuned 4.8-liter V-12 that can rev from idle to over 12,000 RPM in 0.3 seconds, and also happens to make 630 horsepower N/A. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission that promises smooth direct shifts. Now, this probably isn’t exactly sounding too insane for you, but when you factor in the T.50’s 2,200-pound curb weight, things will get wild. Styling is reminiscent of a fighter jet, with active aero fins on the back popping up individually when downforce is needed the V12 at peak RPM shrieks, and the only other shrieking will be heard from the rear tires when you try to launch it. 0-60 Is expected in under 3 seconds, and the top speed should be nearing 250 MPH.
What is the pricing on this 1-of-50 beast? Well it’s safe to say well over a million bucks. These small companies often have to make hyper-expensive vehicles to stay alive.
