And Now, A Little Japanese Craziness: Drifting Kei Truck And Nose-Standing Kei Van!

And Now, A Little Japanese Craziness: Drifting Kei Truck And Nose-Standing Kei Van!

ExtremeDrivingTV is, near as best as I can tell, a YouTube channel that showcases Japanese drift culture. I watched a couple of episodes, just to make sure I would like it. There is always and emphasis on the performance of the vehicle. Ok, so far, so good. Ken Nomura, Keiichi Tsuchiya and other legends of Japanese drifting make appearances, even better. They even have a masked man who seems to be acting as a cross between The Stig and the mentally handicapped brother of The Three Stooges who can drive the hell out of anything. Golden, I’m in.

Then I see this: a Suzuki Carry kei truck. 600cc of basic servitude, sized for midgets, hooked up to a turbo and hanging it’s ass out like it’s a S15 Silvia. Okay, that’s something you don’t see everyday, that’s for sure. I’ll give it another minute or so and see what else comes up.

And here you thought all they did was build hyper-boosted little rice rockets. As far as I’m concerned, this crew is BangShift worthy. Ordinary vehicles anyone can afford, hot-rodded up and used to have fun with. If that isn’t what BangShift has been all about since the start, I don’t know what is. Check out some of their other videos when you get a chance, and expect to see more from these guys here. For now, here’s a taste of what ExtremeDrivingTV is all about.
