Pro Touring Video: A Look At The 2015 Midwest Muscle Car Challenge – Great Action and Fun

The 2015 Midwest Muscle Car Challenge brought some of the coolest pro touring cars and people from across the country to Indiana and they’re planning on doing it again in 2016. The multi-faceted event had a cruise, road course racing at Putnam Park, and an autocross at Terre Haute Airport. You’ll see some recognizable cars and faces in this video, especially those of Robby and Al Unser (Jr.) who were out having a blast. Al was in the Speedway Nova and Robby was in his Camaro. These are two American racing legends. Robbie has won Pikes Peak EIGHT times run IRL, the Indy 500 and more. Al Unser Jr. is one of the great open wheel race car drivers in American history and into really awesome to see him embrace the pro touring world as he has come to do over the last couple of seasons.

Those of you with cars you’ve built using components from RideTech and others should be checking your calendar and your wallet to see if you can make an event like this in your part of the world or maybe travel to this one. The reason those companies develop the parts they do is for you to use them. As we all know, using this stuff for its intended purpose is where all the fun is and when you look at something like this Midwest Muscle Car Challenge you get to combine the elements of cruising, high speeds on a beautiful track, and the technical world of autocross all in one weekend. Oh, you also get to do that in the presence of some of the country’s best competition drivers who can coach and mentor you to get better.

We’re not trying to sell you on this event, but we are trying to kick you in the arse so when the weather turns YOU get out there and turn your pro touring car the way you built it to do! Watch this and get inspired.
