Rally At The Ridge Photo Coverage Part 1: An Amazing Gathering Of Hot Rods In Orchard Park, New York

Rally At The Ridge Photo Coverage Part 1: An Amazing Gathering Of Hot Rods In Orchard Park, New York

(Photos by Mike Brooks) – Yes, these photos were taken in New York, yes the grass is green, yes I screwed up and they are seeing the light of day for the first time now. Mike Brooks checked out the awesome Rally at the Ridge show again in 2017 as he has done in years past and we’re sure glad that he did. Right off the bat this gallery of photos comes out swinging. A brutally black, Kaase Boss powered Galaxie?! Yes, that’s exactly what the car is and the best part is that it as driven to the show, not transported there in some hermetically sealed bubble. Once you get around the wagon you will see photos of perhaps the nicest modified Chevrolet station wagon we have ever laid eyes on.

This was kind of a dreary day but that actually does two cool things. The first is that it keeps all of the people who think their cars can melt at home and the second is that it makes the cars look dramatic, especially those with brighter colored paint against the gray sky.

Mike Brooks is a great shooter and we’re sorry that we sat on these photos. We’ve got more to come in the days ahead so look forward to them and a brief warm up of your day!

There literally is nothing in this gallery I do not like. Well…..there is that black square-body. 😉

Thanks Doug! That event is always a good time, even when it’s a little muddy. Usually the last time some of the Buffalo area car folks see each other for a few months. They even let me bring my beat up ole’ pickup.

Best part of this show is each year a different family in need gets all the proceeds! They are a great team of volunteers putting this show on!
