As you read this, McTaggart, Chad and I are running around like our hair is on fire gathering you content for tomorrow and later today. One story before you check out the photos. You longtime BangShifters likely remember all the junk I wrote about my time at UMass in college road racing a 1980 VW Rabbit with buddies. I have always had a soft spot for round headlight VW Rabbits after that and when I saw this subtle drag race version I was over the moon. You’ll see the photos below but the little red car is bad ass and I have no idea what the engine is. I’ll get more info and report back but the look is legit!

Big Congratulations to Mr. Brian Bass on the absolutely stunning Blue chopped coupe show in the very first photo in this article. Inspired by the 554 coupe the new car was put together on an episode of Gas Monkey Garage with Brian as the guest builder.
I would say one of or even the best Hot rod to come out of Gas Monkey Garage.
