Sheet Metal Fab: Willomet Motor And Fab Is Making a Custom Firewall For This Custom 1970 Dodge Charger

There are only a couple of common firewall modifications for most hot rodders, and yet full boogie race cars regularly get major changes made to their firewalls. Or they are completely removed and replaced. And in the case of tube chassis cars there are multiple ways to design them. In a drag racing application the firewall is closest to the engine at the bellhousing and then has lots of room between the firewall and the cylinder heads for example. This gives lots of room to work on the engine in between rounds of competition. But what about a full tilt pro-touring style build?

In the video below, David at Willomet Motor and Fab is working on his 1970 Charger and building his own custom firewall. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Video Description:

I’m making a custom multi-piece sheetmetal firewall for the 1970 Charger with parts from  @sendcutsend  and supplies from  @seymourpaint_official .
