The Cleanest Stock 1974 AMC Hornet We Have Ever Seen Is For Sale And It Is Less Than $4,000

How in the hell does this car live in Michigan for more than 40 years and look like THIS?! You are seeing the same thing we are. The cleanest stock 1974 AMC Hornet we’ve ever gawked at and a car that is absolutely begging to be hot rodded in the proper AMC tradition of a big block, a four speed, radials in the back, and the maintenance of the factory 1970s spec brown paint.

This car is freaking fantastic nearly beyond description. It has the stock 232ci inline six, three on the tree manual transmission, what looks to be 40,000 original miles, the most mint interior this side of Kenosha, body colored steel wheels, and the spare is in the trunk!

Anyone who puts anything other than an AMC motor in this thing is doing it wrong. Turbocharged inline six? Awesome. 304…not as awesome but we’ll take it. 401? Good. 401 stroker? Better. Indy parts filling a bad ass block with turbos and 275s on the back? That’s the ticket! We’re in love and the price is right. Normally we’d be kind of itchy about a $3,850 ask here but can you really argue with this guy? Find a nicer one!

  1. Rock On

Drop in a 401. Add wider steel wheels on the back. Keep the column shifter. Instant sleeper!

  2. MGBChuck

make it look like an old pro stocker, enjoy the what is it questions, destroy late models egos, done.
