The Ferrari SF90 Roadster Is A 215 MPH, Retractable Roof Equipped, Carbon Fiber, Million Dollar Wonder

(By Tom Lohnes) – Do you want to spend $1,000,000 on a 986-horsepower, AWD Ferrari, but you also live the open-top lifestyle? The SF90 Roadster is the perfect car for you and your bank account.

Packing a 7-figure price tag, almost 1,000 horsepower, and a 0-60 time of 2.1 seconds, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale took the LaFerrari and improved upon every aspect of it. The SF90 Spider is no different. Using the same Carbon Tub as the coupe, the Spider is only 35 pounds heavier than the coupe, all of those pounds belonging to the complex retractable carbon-fiber roof mechanism. Because it gained so few pounds, performance is all around the same as a coupe with a couple options. Inside, the SF90 Spider previews Ferrari’s Next generation of interiors, with a digital gauge cluster, magnesium shifter, and touchscreen start button. Interior materials are strictly Carbon Fiber and light metals, such as aluminum and magnesium. The standard Carbon Fiber seats weigh only 10 pounds apiece. The famed “Manentino wheel” drive mode selector remains, and a passenger display is available.

Is it really necessary to go 215 mph with the top down? No, and it doesn’t seem like much fun either. But at the end of the day, the SF90 Spider is a dream machine that many of us can not help but want.
