RideTech Customers Finish Favorably

At OSUSC Road America Event in Elkhart Lake, WI

One of the crown jewels of the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car Series is their Road America event. Historically, this event begins with a gathering at the prestigious Johnson Controls, Inc. headquarters just outside of Milwaukee and includes a well-planned, scenic road rally to the Road America track.  Participants also get to mingle with the NASCAR crowd as the Lingenfelter Design & Engineering portion takes place during Friday evening’s televised racing event.  With a 90-minute go-kart enduro topping off the usual days full of autocross, speed stop, and road course action, this event is one of the most entertaining contests of the year!  RideTech was well-represented by the participants; see below for more information!

OSUSC Road America Results

With over a dozen customers participating in the event, RideTech was well-represented in each class.  Chris Jacobs again took high honors with his Corvette in each segment (including 5th in Autocross and 3rd in Hot Laps for the GTS class), finishing the weekend with a 3rd place finish in the GTS class.
A pair of Spirit of the Event Awards were given out at the Road America event, and both went to RideTech customers.  The Spirit of the Event Award also comes with an invite to the final OUSCI event in Las Vegas, so you can plan on seeing Rob MacGregor’s C10 and Tyrone Walker’s Corvette again very soon!
If you are new to the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car series, it is a national points-accumulating series of events held at tracks throughout the country.  At each event, winners from each class also take home an invitation to participate in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational held immediately following the SEMA show in Las Vegas each fall; after the final points event, several of the points leaders receive an invite, as well.  We’ve accumulated the results in the following graphic to show where some of our RideTech customers are currently sitting in the points standings for their class; this data is shown with the current invite holders already removed from the points standings.  Points standings with invite holders included are shown on the official website for the OSUSC series, found HERE.
**These rankings do not include those competitors who have already won an invite to the 2015 OUSCI

These are some of our favorite RideTech-equipped vehicles from this weekend’s social media posts.  Post your car or truck to our Facebook wall for a chance to be featured here!

This is where “Air Ride” begins and is still a valuable solution for many applications. The CoolRide system will raise and lower the vehicle, improving the handling and offering a terrific ride.

Features:
• Pre-engineered mounting hardware
• Maintains driveline angles, tire clearance, and load capacities
• Lowers vehicle ride height
• Improves handling
• Improves ride quality!

HOW TO SERVICE YOUR SOLENOID AIR VALVES
Ridetech has been selling its line of RidePro and Big Red valves for 10+ years now. We have thousands of these units in service on all different types of vehicles used in all different types of conditions with great success. But as things go with any product that has moving parts, those parts will eventually start to wear out. We’ve developed an easy-to-use guide to help you better understand how your valves function and how to determine if you are experiencing an issue with them; this guide can be found at http://www.ridetech.com/tech/solenoid-valve-service. The online guide will also demonstrate the proper way to identify which valve you have and how to service that valve.  If you have any questions about your valves or service that aren’t covered in the guide, please call us at 812-481-4787.
Where will we be next?  Either racing or displaying, we love to see our fans out and about.  And keep an eye on social media for your chance to win RideTech swag or even an autocross ride-along at some events!

HOLLEY LS FEST, BOWLING GREEN KY, SEPT 11-13

CORVETTE FUN FEST, EFFINGHAM IL, SEPT 17-20

What’s New at HQ

At RideTech, we’re not just employees; we’re enthusiasts!  On any given day, you will find a handful of employee-owned hot rods in our parking lot…but on a sunny Friday afternoon, the concentration gets a LOT higher.  Last week we noticed that our lot was so full of cool cars, the public was turning in and driving through like it was a car show, so what better time for a group photo? 22 of the vehicles pictured here are owned by our awesome staff, and we thought you should see that when you order from us, you’re not ordering from just any random worker drones…every aspect of our company is filled with people who love their rides as much as you love yours. We know cars, we know quality, and we have the best people making the best parts in the industry…and it shows!

FROG FOLLIES, EVANSVILLE INDIANA

Since 1975, the Evansville Iron Street Rod Club has put on a rod run for street rod owners. It has gone from just 44 participants at the very first event to over 4000, and growing!  The event gained it’s name from a “bullfrog race” held at the first event.  Since 2010, this event has been THE largest pre-49 Street Rod event in the world.  Featuring a gigantic swap meet and commercial vendor area, there are plenty of new parts as well as rusty ones and collectibles to satisfy any appetite.  Proceeds from this event go to local charities and automotive scholarships, helping to keep street rodding alive and well in the local community.  More info can be found at www.frogfollies.org.

CORVETTES AT CARLISLE, CARLISLE PENNSYLVANIA

Amazing weather and a passion for America’s favorite sports car, the Corvette, helped make the 2015 edition of Corvettes at Carlisle a smashing success. Over 4,200 Corvettes from every era were showcased with guests from around the country. Highlights included an overall weekend salute to service, including an American Flag built from dozens of red, white and blue Corvettes. The weekend also hosted multiple seminars and guests, including Chip Foose.

Competitions were a popular draw too, including autocross, burnouts, Beauty contests, and the all new Beauty and the Beast showcase. Chip’s Choice not only included the Salute to Service, but also hosted the 1964/65 World’s Fair cutaway Corvette and engine, marking the first time in 50 years this display has been seen in the states.  Visit the event’s Facebook page for more awesome photos and video coverage!
