(Photos by Amanda McCarthy) – As Chad was telling you in a blog item earlier today, there are a few simple elements necessary to have a great time at a USCA event. There’s your car, which is a given. There’s your attitude, which you get to set and control through the weekend, and then there’s your willingness to drive your stuff to the limits of YOUR ability, not those of anyone else. There are few things more satisfying than modifying your car to make it work better and then learning how those modifications improved the mechanical performance of the car. Once you figure that part out, the real fun starts when you raise your skill level to meet that of the car. It is a cycle that never gets old and never gets boring. Searching for that tenth of a second in the autocross, maybe nailing the braking point in the Speed Stop challenge, or clipping that apex that had been dogging you all day brings with it a great sense of pride. We’ve been there. It isn’t about being the fastest on the sheet, it is about being faster than you where when you rolled into the gate before the event.

At he USCA event at Gateway Motorsports Park outside of St Louis there was a strong contingent of cars from across the country having fun. The RdeTech crew was there in full force and our pal Rodney Prouty got the “golden ticket” invite in his Plain Jane Camaro for the OUSCI event following SEMA in November. We’re proud of Rodney and look forward to following his prep and adventure for the hardest core pro touring event in the world. As you know we loves us some underdogs here and Rodney’s car is one of them. Go get after it, buddy!
