The Unloved Outlaw: Magnus Walker Has A 1980 Porsche 924 Carrera GT And Not Shockingly, It Is Cool

When one thinks about Magnus Walker and his taste in Porsche cars, the 1980 Porsche 924 Carrera GT is likely not one that hits even near the top of the list of stuff he would own and that’s what makes this video great. Walker’s goal is to literally own one of ever Porsche sports car ever made so that’s why he’s got a few of the more “underloved” models in the vaunted history of the German car makers lineup. Despite his appearance, Walker is not homeless, far from it. The guy has the financial wherewithal and the brand power there days to really do what he wants and while his taste is not for everyone, we think that he did this car a lot of justice with the tasteful modifications that he made.

Owning one of every model a car maker has ever produced is a lofty goal, even for a guy like Walker who can clearly pull it off. It is like reading a piece of sheet music in some sense because you get to experience the entire symphony rather than just a couple of bars of even a small section of it. Everyone knows the guy for what he does with the traditional rear engine, air-cooled cars. This departure is neat and how he got the car is even cooler.

We’ve never wanted a 1980 Porsche 924 Carrera and frankly we’re not really in the hunt for one now but we really, really dig what Walker did with this one and we think you will too.

You need to modify the s### out of it like he did to make it roadworthy.

It’s still a ugly car though.
