The “Roar Before the 24” is the first event of the year at Daytona International Speedway and it’s basically the test session that some of the world’s top sports car racing teams use to get their stuff ready for the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in a couple weeks. All kinds of stuff shows up for this thing and you’ll be blown away by the diversity of the races cars that you’ll see here. From Miatas all the up to the mighty prototypes and ultra-high end sports cars there’s something for everyone. Along with the diversity of the cars there’s the diversity of the engines as well. V8s that below, four bangers that sing soprano, and loads of stuff in between that make their own majestic notes to enjoy.
This is pure racing noise. No announcers, no crowd, just cars. Since the camera position moves around you’ll see the machines at full throttle on the high banking, you’ll see them under brake rotor melting deceleration, you’ll see them ripping through the tight infield corners as well.
At one point you’ll see a couple of Mercedes 300 SLs working, then a Porsche RSR at full throttle on the banking, and then a freaking open wheel dirt track looking thing working the infield corners. You don’t have to like road racing to love this video, you just have to love cars.

Music. Could listen to this all day
Prototype and Can Am eras were the best
