IndyCar has had an amazing history with racing facilities. If you go back into the 1970s and 80s, this list of 72 tracks in the last 25 years would balloon to well over 100 with all of the places they tried once and left or that have closed up over the years. Even in 25 years, 72 tracks is a wild number. Some of these places we never knew existed in the first place and many of them do not exist now. From the temporary street courses in places like Baltimore to the international tracks like Assen, there’s a lot of wow factor in this video.

Even if you are not a diehard IndyCar follower, you’ll appreciate the varied styles, shapes, and obscurity level of this list. The fact that it’s a quick hit on each one keeps it fun and always interesting. You are never sure whether you will see a currently active place next, an open but non-IndyCar hosting facility, or a place that has been lost to history.
