Watch Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 – 845 HP AWD Drive Mustang Takes On LA

Here’s Ken Block’s newest driving masterpiece, Gymkhana 7. Here his tool of the trade is an 850hp, V8, all wheel drive Mustang the likes of which the world has never seen before. Just when we thought this video franchise was losing its fastball, Block and crew have pulled out all the stops on Gymkhana 7. This is incredible stuff. We’re out of words –

Regardless of anyone’s opinions of Ken Block or the Mustang; the car control in that video is pretty spectacular. I know for a fact that I couldn’t pull off those stunts.

And, kudos for showing the police cars blocking traffic in the video. As in “closed course, don’t try this on a public street.”

Love the visual laughs , stripped ricer in the river white bronco . The rubber on the pavement looks like VonDutch doodles on acid .

Wow. That man can flat out drive. You guys be jaded if you want to, I’m going to sit here impressd by one of the best damn drivers I’ve ever seen.

I have to say, I really, really like that Mustang.

I like how he copied car chase scenes of TV shows and movies of the ’70’s and ’80’s down to jumping 20 miles location to location in a split second. The LA River and 3rd St bridge are next to downtown. Randy’s Donuts is over by LAX in El Segundo, then back to China Town north of downtown. Big kudos to getting a permit to film above the Hollywood sign on Mt. Wilson. No one is allowed up there anymore. Those big transmission towers above are the main transmitters for LAPD and LA Fire.

Ok, I really want an 850 hp, all wheel drive Mustang that has a sequential gearbox and turning brakes for Christmas. Mad Max’s Ride has has just been emasculated beyond belief.

I love his videos. Block certainly has skill. It’s like artistic rally racing. Or the Motorsport equivalent of parkour. I just want to see a feature film where the plot is that someone forces Ken Block to be a getaway driver because they kidnapped someone or something. Throw in some explosions and make the bad guy Dolph Lundgren and it’s a guaranteed hit.

This is some bad ass stress relief form road rage. You should charge $1,500 per ride and duplicate this for road rage. Los Angeles should make this a punishment for slow drivers that block traffic too. Sweet
