Watching This Old Cadillac Eldorado Slide Around A Frozen Lake With A Kid At The Wheel Is Pretty Awesome

Watching This Old Cadillac Eldorado Slide Around A Frozen Lake With A Kid At The Wheel Is Pretty Awesome

There are times that I actually believe people who live in warm weather climates miss out on some of the gearhead fun that others of us get to have when the temperatures plummet. Take this video for example. A dad and his little kid take their awesome old Cadillac Eldorado out on a frozen lake in some cold, nordic land and have a blast sliding the huge car around on the glass-like ice. It looks like pop has a go at it first and then he stops, throws the door open, and let’s the kid in…to drive! We’re guessing that dad had control of the gas and brake pedals because we don’t think the little guy could reach but the kid certainly has the tiller. Some of you may cringe, but I think we can all remember a time when dad or granddad or maybe an uncle let you “drive” when you were a kid. Maybe it was a tractor or an old truck in the yard, but whatever it was, those moments get seared into your brain and I bet you remember them as clearly as I do (sitting on dad’s lap while his old 8N chugged along).

The Caddy looks like it has some flaking paint but otherwise is a great old car. I’m not being critical and frankly if I ever had the luck to own one of those things, I’d want it to look just like the one here on the lake. The scenery here is stunning, the implied fun is awesome, and I think that this video is 100% BangShift approved! Happy Friday!

  1. Turbo Regal

That is not just a 1960 Cadillac, it’s an Eldorado Brougham. 101 produced and hand built by Pininfarina of Italy, it was the most expensive luxury car of its day.

It’s kind of like using a Tiffany sterling silver tray to put under your Tombstone pizza.
