There are certain things we always look at and think they’re cool. Furniture made of car parts will never get old to us. Unfortunately due to the fact that there are multiple involved in the decorating process at the Lohnes manse, we’ll never have any of it, so I must admire it from afar.
We’ve all see a coffee table made with a block and rods, but we have never seen one like this with basically an entire mocked up and moving set of parts! We’re talking cams, crank, rods, all being controlled by an electric motor like a massive version of the plastic “Visible V8” engine. We love the fact that all the innards are polished, the fabrication work to lay it all up looks awesome, and even non-car people would be mesmerized sitting there watching this piece of art do its thing.
Yeah, we know there’s probably too much time and money into this piece, but hey, anything worth doing is worth OVER doing, right?
