If you only think a hot rod needs to sit low to the ground and hustle down the asphalt aisle as quickly as possible, you are really missing the point. Why? Because you’d never think that stuff like this massive 1968 Ford truck with a 700hp big block could be a hot rod. The truck has been built to go mud bogging and horsepower is a big factor in being successful in that realm. Why? You need to make loads of wheel speed to get the truck off the starting line and then planing on top of the mucky surface, no slogging through it, fenders deep.

We love the fact that this is a late 1960s Ford rather than an early or later 1970s model. Far less commonly seen, their lines are clean and definitely show the design evolution of the trucks that they followed not the 70s. The truck has a 10-inch lift, a built C-6 transmission, and locked 5.13 geared axles on both ends. No, it would not be much of a cruiser on the streets but it would get plenty of attention rolling on those 44-inch tall Bogger tires.

The best part about the whole rig? The work has less than 100 miles on it. Actually, we’re not sure if that’s a good thing or not. If this is a mud bogger running a couple of hundred feet at a time, that’s a lot of runs! We’re kidding of course. This thing is awesome and while it would take a little work, it could be put back on the street with the addition  of an exhaust system…and frankly that’s about it.

We want this thing bad!
