(Words and photos by Mike Brooks) – Over the past 9 years, the Lone Star Throwdown has evolved into one of the largest and most happening custom truck events in the country. The truck scene is bigger and better than ever before, and the popularity of custom trucks has never been higher.

Whether you’re into slammed minitrucks, dropped street and sport trucks, custom jeeps, lifted rigs, new trucks, classic trucks, and everything in between, this show has it all! Of course, all the big players in the truck aftermarket are on site selling and displaying the latest technology, parts, accessories, and custom upgrades on the market today.

With all the buzz surrounding this show, I just had to pack a bag, grab my camera, and hop a flight down to Conroe, TX and see this for myself.  I was blown away checking out all the custom trucks that make the Texas truck scene stand out. It was a virtual “who’s who” of the truck lifestyle, all the heavy hitters where there, and you should be too! Next year’s 10th anniversary event is already looking to be stellar. Put this one on your list of “must attend” events!
