OMG This Could Be The Best Single Cab Dually Ever…Holy Crap This Thing Is Cool!

OMG This Could Be The Best Single Cab Dually Ever…Holy Crap This Thing Is Cool!

I’m a little excited about this one. This could be the best single cab dually ever, and I want it bad. If it was a crew cab and looked like this it would be sitting waiting for the transporter to pick it up if I had to pay for it with my credit card. Holy crap this thing is awesome. And the patina and all is not fake. This is a real deal ex-7up truck that has only 31,000 miles on it! Yes you read that right. Apparently it started life as a 7-up Truck at the bottling plant in Nevada. Which would explain why it is in such great shape with no rust at all. Since being rescued in 2015 it has been lowered, cleaned up and gone through, and is ready to roll. Sounds like it probably has 4.56 gears in it, so that would need changing, or a GearVendors, before cruising it for long stretches on the highway, but who cares. Man this thing looks so right I can hardly stand it. Wait until Brian sees this one. He’s going to lose his mind. I’m in love.

Here is the info from the seller:

For sale today we have a extremely nice 79 C30 Camper Special that has spent its life in the dry Nevada air until 2015 when it was taken to Texas then brought here to NC.  This truck was said to be a 1 Owner truck and have the original 31k on the miles.  It was bought new in Thomasville NC then sent to Nevada to be used at the 7UP bottling plant. From what we can tell and what we have been told the truck was last on the road in 1986 when the plant closed down (still has Nevada tags with an 86 sticker). The truck was then bought in April of 2015 and came to NC in July of 2015.  The truck was made road worthy before we got it but we went over it and made sure it was safe to drive then we ordered a 5/7 lowering kit with 4 new shocks for the truck and installed that to give it that low and wide look that most love.  We have also had new 2.5” exhaust put on to give it a deep mellow tone.  The interior of this truck is near flawless and the only bad spot is the drivers floor shows some wear and a dash overlay has been installed.  This truck is a great around town cruiser but 60 MPH is about all it will do comfortably on the highway.  This truck would make for a great shop truck or as a extremely nice staring point for a full restoration show truck/tow rig. Please feel free to call or text us with any questions @ 336-404-0311.  If you do not have the funds available please do not place a bid you have no intentions of honoring, also if you have ZERO feedback please contact us before bidding.

There is nothing dumber than watching someone driving a dually truck slow down for sharp dips in the road. I guess if you’re a flat-lander and don’t mind driving a cross between a empty cement truck and a frigging go-kart just to look cool, then yeah, it might be cool.

I don’t know…I’ve had two lowered duallys and they both hauled ass, especially the second one. I guess you just have to do it right, 3/4 ton springs w/ big helper airbags and plenty of suspension travel fabbed in. I agree, sacrificing performance (including usability as a truck) for looks sucks, when that’s what happens.

I’d love another but they just won’t fit some places.

Settle down Chad, it’s not that big a deal. You know owning it would be more trouble and expense than it’s worth.
