Formula Off Road is some of the most gnarly racing on the planet. In fact in some ways it’s the grandfather of the new Rockbouncing craze. These guys climb huge pea gravel piles, on courses set up much like an autocross, and even with lakes to cross over using giant paddle tires at a jillion rpm. We seriously dig it and would love love love to attend one of these races. In this one, you are going to see a bunch of cool racing action, and several pretty cool crashes. The one in this photo is insane, and is caught not only from the ground, but from a drone, and an in car camera as well. It’s insane. This is brutal. Any delusion about the gravel being soft, is just that. Sure it’s better than concrete but it still has to hurt.
