The Duramax Powered 2017 Suburban 3500 Is A Reality – Buy One Now!

The Duramax Powered 2017 Suburban 3500 Is A Reality – Buy One Now!

Duramax swaps aren’t anywhere near new, and they happen in all kinds of GM vehicles, but they are a ton of work. I’m talking TONS of work. Getting one to fit is some work, but that’s not the hard part, especially inside a truck or SUV that is a platform already Duramax equipped. The hard part is making all the diesel electronics work with all the factory GM electronics in a platform that wasn’t ever supposed to have the Duramax in it in the first place. You might think that an older vehicle would be the hardest, but the truth is the newer it is the more systems talk to each other and the more trouble a swap can be. Unless you are DuraBurb Inc.

These guys are amazing and they know just how to make it all work. They have been building these Suburbans for the government, and have not been allowed to show them because we’re guessing they are for the Presidential Motorcade. But now you can buy one! This is a one-ton, 3500 HD, Suburban with a Duramax and it is brand new. We want one!

If you provide the Suburban and the diesel engine and transmission, you are only paying for the labor of the engine/transmission swap.
If you want to buy the total package, you can expect to pay much, much more. A new Suburban HD is listed at $80,000 MSRP on GM\’s website.

No worry on price just use this handy calculator:

Bring an amount of $100 dollar bills that weighs as much as the final curb weight of the truck!

Kind of like the pallets of cash sent to Iraq. They might even throw in a free car care kit and lollipops for the kids!

Why would anyone order/need a one ton surburban? Your limited by the rear tires, so there can not be much improvement in hauling capacity.. And it would seem to be a foul riding beast. 1/2 ton fine, 3/4 ton even better… I do not get it..

My son & I have been doing these swaps for years (Have done several this year for ONE customer 03-11) haven\’t bumped to the 17s as just the price of the Burb by itself limits your sales so we\’ve doing 14s & under and as with everything year/Options dictates price

Suburban is $80k BEFORE the swap, but I’m sure selling the 6.0LS displaces some of the cost.

Al/Turboyoda from MCM/Skidfactory has converted a Nissan Patrol to Duramax power, it’s now owned by my mate here in Canberra. It’s not a cheap exercise just getting the engine/transmission, worse here in Australia.
