How Hard Can This Narrow Mud Hole Be For Trucks With Tires This Big?

How Hard Can This Narrow Mud Hole Be For Trucks With Tires This Big?

Apparently the answer is really f’ing hard! You have to see this to believe it. We thought these suckers would fly right through the mud and up the hill, but not quite. The giant Ford seems to have it handled, until it doesn’t, and you have to watch to see just how gnarly the hole is. Finally someone tries to run it long ways as well. These videos just make me want to build something giant, and also to make a place for me to play with something this big. I have friends with 6×6 Military Trucks, but these look even more fun.

For some of these trucks it seems that the simpler and uglier the better they do, which is just our speed. Some of the fancier, pro looking monster trucks, have a harder time just getting across. Maybe the ugly ones have something to prove!

Watch and enjoy!

Many of them have tires mounted backwards, is there some science to this? Maybe to back out of the mud for another shot?

I’ve heard its for braking. I’ve driven stuff with tractor tires, they don’t brake worth a crap if they are mounted all forewards I’ve only driven one rig with them mounted mixed but it has small drums on every corner so I’m not sure if it helped in that situation.
