The First Ram TRX Crash Has Occurred…On The Assembly Line

The First Ram TRX Crash Has Occurred…On The Assembly Line

(By Tom Lohnes) – Like any car company FCA is no stranger to factory mishaps. The process of building cars is really complicated and it is almost miraculous any of them end up leaving the factory without so much as a blemish. Sometimes things happen and this time? Truck fall and go boom. A new Ram 1500 TRX has flipped over before it has even left the factory.

Well, it is safe to say someone at the Ram Trucks plant in Michigan was not having a great day when these photos were taken because they did not line up the tracks to the wheels of this gargantuan truck, resulting in a rollover on the production line. Of course, this was cleaned up and the truck was fixed in no time at all, but it’s kind of hilarious to see the TRX on its side while it is still in the factory. Even funnier though is that someone by the name of sinister_lifestyle was working at the time and managed to get a good picture of the whole incident. If you have a Grey TRX on order, make absolute sure it is not the rollover truck, because your new vehicle could be compromised before it even left the plant.

I was expecting to see a few rolled-over TRXs in the near future due to its soft suspension and overall heft, but seeing one in the factory laying on its side may be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

Given the body damage, it was probably stripped of a few parts then crushed. Damage happens all the time, they don’t fix everything- sometimes they scrap the car.

If RAM drivers are more likely to have a DUI, how do RAM assembly line workers compare? Liquid lunch?

Some fire department will have the luck to train on cutting apart this truck in an extrication training exercise before it’s returned to FCA for final shredding.
