When the word “Outlaw” gets thrown into any sort of motorsports competition, things always get better. Seriously. World of Outlaws? Bad ass. Outlaw 10.5 racing? Was bad ass. Outlaw Garden Tractor Pulling? Wait, what? Yes, it exists and YES it is bad ass! You’re about to see a really boss little machine hook to the pulling sled and go to work.
What started as a John Deere garden tractor now has a 300+hp hot rodded 1.6L VW diesel engine on the front of it and wow is it neat! We have showed lots of hot rodded small tractors before but this is the first one we have seen with this engine adapted to it and wow does it make sense.
For years people have been tuning them and wicking them up in VW cars so when you don’t have to deal with any of the associated systems of a modern automotive application and can just leave it all hanging out in the breeze on a tractor, life is really good! With the stock fueling these will make well north of 200hp just be adding boost. With fueling, boost, and a good tuneup we have heard of 350+ horsepower. We believe this tractor to be living somewhere in the 300hp zone through some comments made by the owner under the video on YouTube.
This is one of those motorsports that people may have a little chuckle at until they watch it and then they’re impressed with the tenacity and cool nature of the people and machines in competition. This thing rules.
