We’ve seen some pretty impressive engine failures over the years, but this one, taken from two angles, is one of the most amazing things we’ve ever seen in our life. And it happens so fast in the video that I actually had some trouble identifying what the hell engine it was that gave up the ghost. I’m not sure what Cummins it is, but I’m assuming that’s what it was before all the carnage. Lavon D. Miller and the guys at Firepunk Diesel are known for making big power and joked when they posted this video and photo showing what they broke in the pursuit of more power. It really is impressive and we’d love to be there to check out the carnage and to go all CSI on the thing to find out what failed first.

This has been spread around FB as happening on Indy Cyl. Head’s dyno. Who’s dyno was it, really?
Land & Sea Dynomite dynamometer from the looks of it.
It happened at Marlatt Engines in Rushville, IN.
Back the boost down 1lb. You’ll be fine…
More boost – it will be fine, oh shit it broke.
Remind me not to take my motor to those idiots for a dyno test….
The Edge…There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Thats one had a killer tune
It looks like the dyno coupling failed, not the engine.
seen it happen before on a tractorpuller , block cracked around the main webbing
