This family-owned truck has been left to sit for decades in a Quonset hut in Canada and is now getting its chance at life again. There is no restoration happening here, and no big money spend, just making it a runner and driver so they can enjoy it like they used to. It’s been sitting long enough that nobody remembers really what was wrong with it in the first place, so the fuel system, brakes, electrical, and who knows what else are going to need attention, and that’s if the engine even turns over and will run. Who knows after all this time.
Brent from Halfass Kustoms is taking a go at this thing and we love him for it. Nothing phases him and he loves the challenge of getting these old things running so he and his dog Pablo can go for a ride in them. It’s cold as hell in Manitoba Canada where he calls the family property home and yet nothing seems to slow him down any. Check it out and use this one as inspiration to get out there and get something of yours back up and running.
Video Description:
I help a friend out and revive his family’s old 1950 Ford pickup that had been parked for years. We get the points all set and rebuild the brakes and fuel system before applying a fresh coat of boiled linseed oil on it and then take it for a spin down the road.
