Boiling Off The Rear Tires On A White Road Boss Dump Truck, Because Why Not?

If there is one certainty we have around here, it’s that if we see something cool happening with any kind of vehicle, we will share it with you. That’s brought many, many things out from BangShift over the years, but one vehicle that holds a special place here is Leon Smith’s “Thump Truck” Kenworth T-800 dump truck. Simply put, no heavy-duty vehicle should be able to do the things that Smith’s KW does: fry tires like there is no tomorrow, and run quarter mile times that would make 98% of what is out on the street look slow. It’s a wild piece, but it’s not the only heavy-duty stomper out there. We’ve seen footage of the big rigs torquing their frames in Quebec, school buses with turbo outlets in Puerto Rico, and so on…so is it really a surprise that Australia, the land of the skidpad burnout contest, has a 1977 White Road Boss dump truck that will boil off the back tires like the truck is chained down? Surprising it’s not, but awesome, it certainly is.

The part of these overkill rigs that gets us worked up is that most of them have day jobs. Yeah, they can cook the tires off, and yes, they can run times that will put the fear into some punk in a run-of-the-mill Mustang. But it can also go load up a few yards of dirt, hook onto the trailer, and do every other thing a big, blocky big rig can do. Make no mistake that when this Road Boss’s driver quits fog-banking the back pit, that something is getting hauled off and dumped somewhere.
