This Crazy Mud Truck Proves That All You Need Is Horsepower, Wheel Speed, And A Right Foot Made Of Lead

Most of us have probably been to a local mud bog where guys with trucks try to slog their way through a pit of muck and mire. Chances are that you have seen said trucks lumber down into the slop, try in vain to move more than five feet, and then some to an unceremonious stop before being pulled out by a tractor of some sort. Watching that is about as exciting as learning how to knit so we wanted to show you the other end of the spectrum. You know the end we’re talking about. The one with the trucks running huge motors, huge axles, and huge tires. These trucks are designed to do what common sense says that they can’t, which is to skitter across a big pit like they were made of lighter than air materials. How do they do it? Wheel speed, horsepower, and pure sack.

Watch this big Chevy got to work to get what we mean. As you will see, the first launch sees the truck leaving lazily and basically flopping into the pit, coming to a stop barely a truck-length in. Luckily the driver was able to back up, clear out the totally full-house engine and let one rip to put on an awesome show. When the truck leaves in anger, it hits the mud and basically becomes a nutso hydroplane with a bed, flying across the top of the sticky stuff, and then slogging its way out the end of the pit.

We want more info on this truck, like how much power it is making!
