My tractor dorkness is international, so when I ran across this video that shows a massive yellow tractor sticking half way out of a river like a sub breaching the surface, I knew right away that it was a mighty Russian Kirovec K-701 tractor. I also knew that unless the driver performed some sort of a miracle the 30,000lb machine was in serious danger of being lost in that river. Well, this being a Russian video and all, expect the best and by best we mean craziest possible outcome.

The tractor has 16 cylinder diesel in it and the driver uses all of it in his battle against nature. Oh, we forgot to mention that the massive tractor has a huge trailer attached to it that you cannot even see until it startes to crawl out of the river because it is so deep into the water.

With 4WD and a foot made of lead, the tractor driver lived to guzzle Vodka for another day and the big yellow Kirovec survived the closest call it hopefully ever will. If you have any doubt about the ability of massive tires, locked axles, and low ass gearing, let this video show you that those three things can conquer just about anything!

Something to note, it looks like the guy is trying to cross the river right to left when the video starts but you are actually looking at the front of the tractor. He’s trying to climb out of the river left to right.
