Got $18,000 and A Zest For Life? This Mosquito Ultralight Helicopter Could Be Your Jam

Got $18,000 and A Zest For Life? This Mosquito Ultralight Helicopter Could Be Your Jam

Have you ever wanted to own a flying bowling alley chair? Now’s your chase because this Mosquito Ultralight Helicopter could be yours for just $18,000. For that $18,000 you get some aluminum, a little engine, a set of chopper blades on top, and the undying respect of everyone you have ever met if you get the balls to actually fly this thing. There are two control sticks and there’s even a gauge cluster to monitor the vital signs of the craft. It does seem like perhaps the gauges are a bit of a luxury because trust us, you’ll be the first to know if there is any sort of a problem with this aircraft while it is above the ground. You won’t need to know if the oil pressure is dropping because it’ll likely be being flung all over your body as you try to land.

In all seriousness, the thing is probably pretty fun if you are into this type of deal. As someone who relishes the size, the girth, and the windows in a traditional airplane and as someone who also freaks out when exposed to great heights, this thing is pretty much a mechanical nightmare. No thanks, but I’m a big wuss.

On another note this guy has lots of cool junk. The giant split hull boat in the background, an enclosed race car tailer, if nothing else, meeting the seller would have to be great for some beers and stories. This guy has his hands in everything in the world of mechanical fun, right?!

In most states you don’t need a license to fly these. So you can plunk down your 18K, and go figure out how to get in the air, and then puzzle out landing.
