It does seem like perhaps the gauges are a bit of a luxury because trust us, you’ll be the first to know if there is any sort of a problem with this aircraft while it is above the ground. You won’t need to know if the oil pressure is dropping because it’ll likely be being flung all over your body as you try to land.

In all seriousness, the thing is probably pretty fun if you are into this type of deal. As someone who relishes the size, the girth, and the windows in a traditional airplane and as someone who also freaks out when exposed to great heights, this thing is pretty much a mechanical nightmare. No thanks, but I’m a big wuss.
