Farmers the world over have been building their own machines to perform work for many, many years. While big shiny tractors are awesome, the homebuilt stuff is often times even more interesting because these are tools created by people who need them to do a certain job and build them as such. Take for example this awesome thing that’s called the Jeeptor. The combo of a Jeep truck, a transfer case from a ton and a half truck, combine rear wheels, turf style fronts, and bunch of other stuff, this machine has been engineered to move hay bales both with a giant steel spike or a set of loading forks.
Perhaps our favorite part of the Jeeptor is the hydraulic control in the cab. The thing is ginormous and looks like it weighs about a million pounds. This rig has to be fun to drive around the farm and we like the fact that the farmer went the extra mile and added the rear fenders over the big tractor tires to keep the mud and muck from flying around too much.
Like the kid with the four turbo Camaro, a creation like this is not designed to wow you with beauty, it is designed to function and do the job needed at the time. We’re loving the Jeeptor and it should probably have a spot somewhere in the BangShift hall of fame.
