McTaggart’s Day Of Mud, Volume 2: International Mud Truck Made From An Opel Omega Wagon!

Ok, so there isn’t a damn bit of mud worth mentioning in the video, but what you’ll see would do pretty well, given it’s roots. At one point in time this was an early 1990s Opel Omega station wagon, the predecessor to the absolutely retch-worthy Cadillac Catera we got in the mid-1990s. And this poor little beast has certainly seen better days. At some point along the way, a madman with a torch and a welder named Milo got ahold of it and shoved the rear axle from a loader and the framing necessary to keep it together under the Omega’s roof and had some fun. Originally mounted near the original wheelbase, he decided one winter to shorten the wheelbase dramatically and turn the car into a bigger freakshow.

The engine sounds like one of the straight sixes that the Omega could have come with and the whole thing looks both frightening and capable, considering the gearing involved with the loader’s rearend. With enough power, this thing would be a blast in a mud pool.
