NTPA Mule City 300 Pull – Action Photos From Galot Motorsports Park Where It All Happened

(Photos by David Whealon/DW Photos) – We have been telling you about the heavy duty work going on at Galot Motorsports Park in regard to the drag strip the is being revived on the property but we may have failed to mention the fact that the place also has a killer pulling course all set up, so while the strip is still undergoing work, the pulling area is open and raring to go. Recently, the facility hosted the NTPA Mule City 300 pull and it drew a killer crowd. Galot Motorsports owner Earl Wells owns several different race teams and at least one (maybe more?) pulling team that you’ll see in action when you check out this gallery. Hence the reason that the strip has the pulling area. Another reason is that virtually every drag strip facility in America today has found ways to make themselves multi-purpose to keep the cashola moving in.

Anyway, David reported a bumper crop of fans, cool tractors and minimal drama through the night as each competitor took their shot with the sled. When the strip is done it will be literally state of the art with a temperature controlled surface, all new timing tower, stands, and the full boat of amenities that fans expect these days. When the Galot Motorsports crew set about putting their spin on the former Dunn-Benson Dragway, they went all out and it shows, according to David.
