NTPA Pulling Action Photos: More Cool Photos, More Flying Clay, and More Late Fall Pulling Fun!

NTPA Pulling Action Photos: More Cool Photos, More Flying Clay, and More Late Fall Pulling Fun!

(Photos by David Whealon) – Last week we showed you the front half of David Whealon’s killer photo collection he shot at the NTPA pull during the North Carolina State Fair. Well, today we’re here with the rest of the images that feature trucks, tractors, and Jeeps, radial engines, diesels, alcohol burners, and maybe even a gasoline guzzler in there as well. The mechanical diversity in pulling is really rivaled only by land speed racing and drag racing. People have their favorite engine styles, brands, and fuels, and they employ ’em all to make maximum horsepower and torque and use their brains and ability to get it all down to the surface.

The NTPA season is a long one that moves all across the country and like most motorsports in North America theirs is drawing to its end but for pullers the fun does not stop when the snow and ice fly. There are indoor events that keep people’s need for hookin’ and bookin’ alive and well over the course of he winter months.

Enjoy these dozens of images from the lens of David Whealon, we sure have!
