No, this is not the video you are expecting. You are thinking one of these tractors goes completely over backwards and bedlam ensues. That would actually be LESS scary than what you are about to watch. Two tractors, hooked together in mortal combat with operators that are either the most brave, stupid, or desperate people we have ever seen, and a crowd of thousands screaming and yelling about the whole affair. Welcome to the universe of Punjabi tractor pulling where the wheelies are free but the near death experiences are priceless.
These two tractors get each other into wheelstands the likes of which normally last for a second or two in the real world but span for minutes at a time for during this contest. Literally. The tractors get up on their back tires and stay there for virtually the entire video. The “roll bars” on the tractors end up smashing into each other at one point because the two rigs nearly fold up on themselves. After one guy looks like he is toast, some sort of miracle happens and he reappears on his tractor only the try and claim victory after the other driver seems certain he killed him.
Adding to the scene are people who we’ll call “crowd control guys” that walk along the edge of the crowd and whack people who are encroaching with sticks. We don’t mean gently either. These dudes get the full THWAP treatment if they inch too close to the line. One of the tractors is a John Deere and the other may be a Mahindra or some variant I’m not too familiar with (such things exist).
Hey, I tend to oversell things. I get that…but not this time. If you can press play and look away after 30 seconds, you better go get checked for a pulse because this is intense beyond words.
There’s a reason it’s the third world….
Rednecks exist in other parts of the world, here is proof!
Couple of observations. Helmets? We don’t need no stinking helmets! Not that they would help, anyway. And the guys with the sticks, whacking people? Safety first, you know. Keep them back so they don’t get injured by the flying tractors.
I suspect that will spread to this area too.
Where ? surrey or abbotsbush ? and would it be ok if they were FE powered?
