The latest episode of Roadkill is hot and this is an interesting mashup of weird engine swap, craziness, and thrashing. Joining Freiburger and Finnegan on this episode are Tony and Lucky from Hot Rod Garage. Hanging out in what amounts to a private junkyard in Colorado the guys find a Dodge truck with a running 6BT Cummins and then they find a Cadillac to jam the whole mess into. Between the level of equipment used to make the swap and the fact that they hacked the roof off the car, this is some pretty wild stuff.
After the whole mess gets to running, the guys attack an overgrown old drag strip with their creation and they also take it a full bore “over the top” on a tabletop style hill. Let’s just say that the B-Body GM cars were built to live through anything, including this.
The funny thing about this video to us is that Finnegan and Freiburger know nothing or less about the diesel engine that is going into the car but Lucky and Tony totally do because they have had the hot rod truck project on their show. They are able to educate these guys some and are able to capably hot rod the engine to take the thing from being a total pig to a pretty nasty tire fryer by the time they are done.
