Full-Size Fun: This Super Street Mud Bogging Action From Virginia Motorsports Park Is Totally Our Jam

There’s one thing around here that we feel is a bedrock rule when it comes to racing. Keep it simple, stupid. This goes with rules, points structures, competition formats, and more. Look no further than this awesome video from Virginia Motorsports Park to have our point proven. You are about to see some fantastic competition from a category of trucks called “Super Street” and these are naturally aspirated big blocks in full size, full frame trucks with no four link rear suspension allowed, and a lot of hammer down, balls-out driving.

There’s something awesome about tube chassis, light, blown or nitrous injected mud boggers but the stuff we always loved back in the day were the trucks that looked like actual trucks hammering through a pit and not necessarily skipping over it like some kind of water bug.

The trucks have to keep their beds and all as well. There are not a lot of rules around the tires but since we do not see any scooper style units we’re guessing they have to start as a DOT tire and perhaps competitors can cut and modify as they see fit.

Even if you do not love mud bogging, you have to love the sound of big blocks screaming for all they are worth, working through one carb, and not using an external help, this video is for you.
