If there is a YouTube channel that seems to fascinate people for no really good reason, the Hydraulic Press Channel may take the cake. This dude gets million of views on his videos and we’re fans of the channel as well because for some reason watching stuff get squashed is kind of fun! In this case, the items being victimized are things like cap gun ammo, small co2 cartridges, and even a soda bottle! The best part of this particular video is the laughter and glee that you hear from the press operator (who has a thick accent that sounds to be from somewhere in eastern Europe) and the girl he has with him. The man’s complete inability to say the word cartridge was pretty awesome, especially when he kind of mocks himself for stumbling over it.

Who would have thought when YouTube was invented that videos of a hydraulic press would bring this much joy and this much sheer audience with them. We get the cat videos, the baby videos, the car videos, the bad music videos but we cannot really put a finger on what exactly makes watching these so fun. Is it because you know what is actually going to happen and then you get to see your projected outcome contrasted against reality? There has to be some psychology here not only surrounding the want to actually do this in the first place but the fact that so many people enjoy watching it!
