It is a fun and confirmed fact that Jeeps are the most modified new cars sold today. There are more Jeeps here than you can shake a stick at for just that reason and this is not an anomaly for 2015. While we often talk about how many late model muscle cars there are on the floor here the reality is that there are ALWAYS more Jeeps in booths and sitting on display than anything else. The current JK platform lends itself to modifications in every possible manner. From plastic fender flares to superchargers you could literally build one of those trucks from parts snagged out of the hundreds of booths promoting components for those rigs.
Not all of the Jeeps below suit our particular tastes but many do. While the big “bro-dozer” trucks are often more show than capability, it is the opposite for the stuff you will see in the photos posted here. Some of them may shock you will wild looks but we’d not hesitate for a moment to take any of this stuff out on the trail, through the muck, or deep into the woods. Ok, that may be a stretch as there are a few we’d want to slide a paper bag over our heads before driving them but overall these Jeeps could certainly get you home no matter the terrain facing you.
The Jeeps of SEMA 2015! Check them out here.
okay, I give up – please provide a photograph of a part that Jeep (albeit Jeep, AMC, Mopar or Fiat) built on any of those rigs.
don’t mistake me, they’re cool, but there has to be another name for them beside Jeep.
but thank you for the pictures – I do wonder if that featured (the aged one) would actually work at all. air shocks (what’s on the front end) do not handle high loads well – so a Dana 60 with a large-diesel motor over the top would make for an interesting ride (read, they get hot, they get stiff, they stop absorbing bumps)
I have to agree with sbg above… that is a strange Jeep.
Why is every single “Jeep” shown a 4 door? (Except the flat fender thingy) I get that they’re nice, and probably outsell the swb by quite a bit, but there’s still quite a few weirdos like me out there that DON’T want to have to do an engine swap just to get their newly lifted rig to comfortably do 75. A stock v6 in one of these 4 doors with 35″+ rubber has got to be even more worthless than a 4 cyl automatic YJ with the a/c blasting.
